whether something was the matter with the vessel, as at anila also questions had beens put to him showing great interest in the ship. Unasked for he declared to be, of course, pro-British, and as such
to be willing to give all information desired.
In the logbook an entry has been made that the ship's papers had been examined and the charter party found missing.

Seen, the Commandant,
annotating that:-
1.
Mr. Wehde after his return from Menado on 11th. August, 1915, has shown to him and the Chief Officer the charter party, which he had in his pocket, and which has been found in order, and "ehde afore- -mentioned openly declared that the cargo discharged at Hanila
consisted of arms and witions.
2.
He, Commandat, has ordered that an entry as yet be made in the Logbook of the "Henry S", that the missing charter party has been found in the keeping of Mr. Wehde.
That entry has been made in the Logbook on the lith. August by
1st. class naval lieutenant K.A. Telders.
